What is CULT-ure?

CULT-ure is the online school of The Great News Network (TGNN), created to promote a new kind of individual culture—one rooted not in material systems, but in personal spiritual liberty. Where traditional religion builds structure, CULT-ure dismantles it. Where culture usually defines identity through material forms, CULT-ure invites a life built on the immaterial ways of Light, Learning, Love, and Liberty.

Formerly known as CULT (Christian Ultra Libertarians for Truth), this school has always stood for the same thing: freedom from institutional religion through education, not authority. CULT-ure offers courses, publications, and a leadership track to equip individuals to pursue faith without fear, pressure, or control.

We challenge tradition—not to replace it, but to move beyond it. Through fulfilled theology, historical context, and personal faith, CULT-ure encourages every person to seek Truth for themselves. We believe this leads to a deeper love, greater peace, and lasting transformation—within and without.

Education over Religion

The future of faith is personal learning, not institutional control.

Liberty Through Knowledge

Learn fulfilled eschatology, subjective Christianity, and come to spiritual liberty.

Breaking Religious Chains

Move beyond dogma and fear-based faith into love and reason.

Our Roots & Name

CULT-ure began as CULT in 2021, but its story traces back to 2006—when Shawn McCraney publicly began questioning the foundations of religious tradition. Through Heart of the Matter, Verse by Verse Teachings, and The Great News Network, Shawn’s exploration revealed that lasting, reasonable faith cannot be sustained through institutional power. It must be freely chosen, built on understanding, not obedience.

The name “CULT” was originally used as an intentional irony. Where cults demand loyalty and control, we taught liberty and critical thought. That foundation remains, but with the evolution to CULT-ure, we now emphasize that what we’re building is not a new religion—but a way of life outside religious culture altogether.

CULT-ure is a non-material culture. It cannot be possessed, enforced, or institutionalized. It is a posture of humility, guided by the Four L’s: Light. Learning. Love. Liberty.

Our Mission

Our goal is simple: to educate and equip individuals for spiritual liberty through The Great News. That means:

  • Teaching fulfilled eschatology, subjective Christianity, and non-institutional models of faith
  • Providing resources that allow honest, personal exploration without manipulation or fear
  • Encouraging love and reason as the core of all spiritual practice
  • Challenging systems that limit growth or demand conformity

CULT-ure is not a church. Not an institution. It’s a space for seekers, learners, and leaders—anyone ready to walk in spiritual liberty without religious constraint.
